My sister from Canada went home this month after not visiting the Philippines for three years. She said that she missed everything about our country hence she scheduled her visit during the Holy Week.

March 2016 |
She arrived via Cathay Pacific at the NAIA terminal 3 last March 22nd and my husband and I, together with my mom, brother, and other sister, came to welcome her home. Alas, a few tears were shed but my sister was very anxious as apparently, her third luggage has gone missing!
Thankfully, the Cathay Pacific staff said it will be arriving on the next plane from London so we had to wait for three more hours before we can leave the airport. I was surprised that Cathay Pacific had this problem because it was my plane carrier of choice when I went to Hong Kong last 2015. Oh well, I guess you can never tell with baggage.
Anyway, my schedule became so hectic once my sister was here because I was her personal assistant slash tour guide slash "kaladkarin" sibling as I was the only one available to accompany her (one of the perks of working online).
The following day, we went straight to Robinson's Place Metro East to have her dental x-ray at Lapid Dental Clinic. It was a necessary procedure before she can have her braces fixed. After her dental appointment, we had to do a "mandatory" eating at Jollibee photo.
She said that out of all the dishes in the Philippines, she missed eating Chicken Joy the most (imagine that!)
After the hilarious day, we had to say goodbye early because we were going on a Visita Iglesia on Maundy Thursday. It was our family's tradition ever since I can remember and since my sister was not able to come along for three years (2013 we went around Manila, 2014 we went to Tagaytay-Batangas, and 2015 we went around Pampanga), we've decided to have it done around Bulacan.
I will post more about this on my next entry so I am able to include all seven churches we've been to. Ciao for now, my dear readers, and don't forget to seize the day!
