- Money will be tight as online jobs are not as stable as having a corporate job;
- I don't have any benefits;
- It can also be stressful;
- There are many scammers out there; and
- Sometimes, it can be literally monotonous because there is less interaction with other people.
Also, as I have a weekend jobs, I keep on missing quality time with my family. Sadly, it's the only way I can earn and increase our savings because I don't want my husband to be the only one working even though I handle the work at home (like cooking, cleaning, laundry, ironing, etc)
Still, it sucks not to have benefits. Like today, I am sick so I had to take a leave of absence for two days which meant no pay for two days as well (ouch).
So now, my husband and I are talking if I should consider going back to an office-based job. It's frustrating because while I want to be present in all of my son's milestones, working from home will mean less savings for us and let's face it --- we have bills to pay, a house that needs to be built, his education, retirement, life insurance, etc.
Sigh. It kept me awake most of the time. But, will going back to an office-based job be worth it?
I am now in the process of looking for new office-based jobs and while I am still 50-50 in my decision, right now, I think it is the right decision. Lord, I lift all my troubles to you.
