Z very happy with his Red tumbler |
******** SPOILER ALERT ***********
Synopsis
The movie centered on how Red has anger issues and is often considered as an outcast since he's the only "angry" bird in a city full of happy, made-to-lay-eggs only folks. He was sentenced to anger management class where he met Chuck, a mischievous bird who likes everything fast; Bomb, a combustible bird who likes nothing but to control his destructive characteristics; and Terrence, a terrifyingly huge red bird who doesn't talk much.
Everything changed when a pair of pigs, Leonard, and his assistant, came to the island and made everyone believe that they only wanted to be friends. Red was the only one who doubted the pigs' friendliness but as he was considered an "angry bird", no one believed him.
Of course, Red was right all along. He and his friends embarked on a journey to look for the legendary Mighty Eagle and take back what the pigs took from their island. What came next was a hilarious set of misadventures, touching scenes, and action-packed plots.
We love the movie! |

Favorite Scenes
It was a tie between the scenes where Chuck and Bomb drank from the "River of Wisdom" and when Chuck was stuck in a small pipeline during an attack on the pigs' city. Even my husband, who was extremely negative about the movie, can't stop laughing. I heard him snorting haha!
There were scenes that made me cry and one of them was when it was revealed that Red has no family that's why he never learned how to love (sniff). I was also touched by the scene where Red risked his life just to save the blue egg.
Reviews
Z: "Can we watch it again? I like Red so much, Mommy!"
Dydy: "In fairness, natawa ako lalo na kay Chuck!"
Mymy: Bravo, Rovio! Although I was hoping to see more action in the film, like that of the game. And yes, I cried and yes, I will recommend other families to watch this film.

Rating
The movie had a great plot and story line. The animation was superb. It was family-oriented and will teach kids that it is okay to be different but you should always learn how to love. Lacks the necessary action scenes parents are hoping for, similar to the game. Overall, good job Rovio!
