Like you, I am one of the million parents who can't seem to understand why a pair of Crocs in the Philippines will cost around Php 4,000 - Php 5,000 when on the US site it costs only around $30 - $50 (and it's not even discounted). Of course, being always on a budget, I often scout the web to find ways on how to get things cheaper or at a discount.
Fortunately, I discovered LBC Shipping Cart. And today, I finally got my first Amazon purchase online straight to my doorstep!
How to Ship Using LBC Shipping Cart
1) Go to the LBC Shipping Cart website and sign up. Always remember that the correct site is www.shippingcart.com and nothing else. Don't be fooled by other phishing sites.
2) Once you have registered, you will be given a US Virtual Address / Phone Number which will serve as your shipping details in any US websites you wish to shop, like Amazon.
3) As you can see, there are already STORED ITEMS in my cart but we'll get there because first, you have to do some shopping. Don't forget to input the US Virtual Address on your shipping details. When you're all set, wait for your items to be delivered, usually three to five days.
Air cargo arrives after a week or two. |
Sea cargo arrives after a month or two. |
5) Pay the shipment to confirm your items. You can either pay via Cash (and pay it in any LBC branches), Credit Card, or PayPal. This time, the shipping address will be your Philippine address. Once it is paid, check the "My Shipments" tab to check your items.
Best US Holiday Sales to Watch out for
Memorial Day Sale - May 30 but usually starts by the third or fourth week
Father's Day Sale - a week or two before June 19
Fourth of July Sale - one of the most anticipated sales in my honest opinion *wink* / best time to shop for Christmas gifts as shipping to the Philippines gets heavy during the fourth quarter of the year
Labor Day Sale - a week or two before September 5
Black Friday Sale - MY FAVORITE SALE of all time! Usually starts before Thanksgiving (November 24) and can last up to Cyber Monday (November 28)
There's still the Christmas and New Year's Eve sales but I don't recommend shopping during these times as it might get shipped next year, especially if you're opting for sea cargo.
Happy shopping, dear mommies!
