Kapuluan Vista Resort Review

One of the reasons why our Ilocos tour was a success is because of our lovely stay at the quiet and serene Kapuluan Vista Resort. It is located almost at the end of the Blue Lagoon area and if you're too quick to decide on the accommodations, you might miss it completely.

The Reservation Process

Besides giving me and family with a relaxing stay, their reservation process was also extremely easy. I went directly to their page and sent them a private message.

They replied the next day and I was able to send the necessary information needed the same day. Since it was a weekend, I was able to deposit the full payment the next business day and as soon as I was done, I sent the deposit slip to their email address.

Sure enough, the resort was prompt in responding.

The Amenities, Lodging and the Food

When we arrived at the resort after our Vigan and Laoag tour, we were greeted by a big sign and our refreshing welcome drinks.

The resort was pleasantly quiet and homey. There was a mini infinity pool and there were only about eight rooms on the ground floor and a dormitory at the second floor. Since we got the deluxe room and the deluxe room with loft, we were all located at the ground floor.

Our stay included complimentary breakfast for two days. Their restaurant served typical American and Ilokano breakfast but one thing that I am thankful for was their fresh herbs grown in their own garden. It made the basil scrambled egg my favorite.

The resort also offered an all-you-can-eat Mongolian buffet every Saturdays and this was where we had our first dinner in Ilocos. Sadly, the food was not a hit among us because it tasted and smelled like kerosene, probably because of the strong fire used to cook the Mongolian dishes.

Good thing they offer a sort-of rest place near the beach. It became my little family's favorite place in the entire resort.

The Verdict

We are definitely coming back! While their Mongolian buffet dinner should be upgraded into something different, the resort, the staff and their peaceful location will definitely make you forget about the weird meal. Also, there are several dampa-style restaurants nearby so that's a plus.

The total price of Php 20,200 for a three-day stay was totally worth it especially after seeing my parents and my little family enjoy.
