But, my son really loves Lightning McQueen. This Disney character was his inspiration in everything hence he wants to become a race car driver when he grows up. McQueen is definitely part of the family.

Hence, when I made my first attempt at Bento making, my inspiration was definitely Lightning McQueen. Unfortunately, I still did not have the Disney Cars tools I needed that's why I settled for using his Disney Cars lunchbox.
This was Z's "baon" for his first swimming lessons. I used a fish silicon cup as rice mold for the fried rice, spread the cheese omelette around to imitate a "yellow lake" (because I'm still a newbie in using non-toxic food coloring), used picks to skewer his grapes, and the same fish silicon cup to house his sliced hotdogs topped with a big "Z" cheddar cheese.
It touched my delicate heart when I saw how happy and excited Z was when he was eating his lunch. He kept telling me how beautiful his lunch is and he especially loved the skewered grapes and fish rice.
I'm just happy that the Philippines has Japan Home Center and Daiso Japan now because it is easier for me to look for Bento tools. I am thankful for them as much as I am thankful for SM SaveMore because the latter also sells Disney Cars surprise eggs (not the Zaini kind, of which are easily available in Robinson's Place). Where did Z got his fascination of surprise eggs? Check YouTube for FunToyzCollector.

These surprise eggs are also available online via Instagram or Facebook but as I find them too expensive, I made sure I scouted local supermarkets first. Everything can be bought in the Philippines already, even hard to find candies, chocolates, and other stuff.
